Discovery Infrastructure
Strata Discovery operates a two-layer spatial model that separates geological prospectivity from observational coverage across provincial scale.
The core insight: most exploration history tells you where people have looked, not where minerals exist. We decouple these questions and target the gap.
Limited distribution.

02 — System
How discovery is made repeatable
Conventional prospectivity mapping answers one question: where do conditions resemble known deposits? This is useful, but incomplete. It conflates geological favorability with exploration history — predicting where minerals have been found, not where they exist. Strata Discovery was built to separate these questions.
Our spatial model operates across two layers — a truth layer estimating geological prospectivity, and a detection layer estimating observational coverage. The system:
Separates geological prospectivity from observational coverage in a single generative framework
Integrates 28 geological, geochemical, geophysical, and remote sensing datasets at provincial scale
Automatically selects the most informative features from 48 candidates for each target environment
Identifies frontier ground — areas of high prospectivity that have received disproportionately low examination
The result is a ranked inventory of 646 frontier cells across the Ontario Shield — structured, scored, and ready for capital deployment.
What is acted on, externalized, or capitalized remains a deliberate choice.
“The system exists regardless of outcome.”
03 — Capabilities
Two-Layer Architecture
Most prospectivity models conflate what is geologically favorable with what has been explored. We separate these questions — estimating a truth layer for mineral prospectivity and a detection layer for observational coverage within a single Bayesian framework.
Automatic Feature Discovery
The system evaluates 48 geological variables and selects the most informative subset for each target environment. Feature selection is data-driven, not operator-driven — the model identifies what matters.
Provincial-Scale Coverage
We operate across 1M+ km² of the Canadian Shield, integrating multi-domain datasets spanning geology, geochemistry, geophysics, and remote sensing into a unified spatial framework.
Decision-Grade Outputs
646 frontier cells ranked by prospectivity and underexploration. Each cell carries a posterior probability, not a qualitative label. Structured for capital deployment, not conference presentations.
What Strata Discovery is not
Strata Discovery is not a marketplace.
It is not a prospect generator.
It is not a software product seeking users.
It is a discovery operation — designed to function independently of how, or whether, its outputs are commercialized.
Some discoveries are internal.
Some are shared selectively.
Some are never externalized at all.
We operate at the intersection of computational geology and disciplined capital across Ontario and Canada's premier mining districts. If you are pursuing frontier ground, we should talk.
